Together, we move, we write, we share.
We turn sensing louder than thoughts. The skin, elastic, an envelope without borders; Always regenerating environmental qualities; Existing in the ecology of processes. Letting go. Movements are becoming words. You discover the hands know how to write. Staying with the no pressure feeling. Turning on different engines. Different engines for consciousness.
Through movement and writing exercises, we will become more present in the moment, connecting to our full range of sensations, both through physical and written expression.
The workshop will consist of:
- Gaga/people class
Class description: Gaga classes are predicated on deep listening to the body and to physical sensations. The instructions are deployed to increase awareness of and further amplify sensation, and rather than turning from one prompt to another, information is layered, building into a multisensory, physically challenging experience. While many instructions are imbued with rich imagery, the research of Gaga is fundamentally physical, insisting on a specific process of embodiment. Inside this shared research, the improvisational nature of the exploration enables each participant’s deeply personal connection with Gaga.
- Creative Writing Score
Through the creative writing scores we resonate the bodily sensations from the Gaga/people class and float it into writing.
- Movement research
After dancing and writing, we dance again. This time we move within a frame of open improvisation, with fewer guided instructions. We aim to let the writing that just happened appear in movement, and dive deeper into our creative space.
- Creative Writing + Finishing up
The writing scores are not designed to lead the writer into crafting a full story but are designed to help improve writing from a bodily/sensing perspective. An idealized form of writing: not knowing, and letting the body write you.
*Note that the times of the schedule might adapt and change as we go along with the workshop.
Price: 350 dkk.
